The Vine Community Church
Church · Baptist
The Vine Community Church is a Southern Baptist congregation in Buda, Texas, which launched on September 8, 2024 out of the Onion Creek Senior Center and now gathers on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. at Sunfield Elementary School on Vista Gardens Drive. It was planted through Send Network SBTC, the church planting partnership of the North American Mission Board and the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, and its sending church is The Well Community Church of San Marcos, itself a Send Network plant. Life groups are forming. The congregation describes itself in its own words with the phrase "Buda as in Heaven," and its published teaching centres on why a church gathers: in its own account it gathers "to seek his presence," "to find strength for the journey, even when the road runs straight through dry and difficult places," and "because, as the psalmist declares, one day in his courts is better than a thousand anywhere else."
