Each dot is a congregation still meeting today, placed the year it was founded: 801 of the 1,151 in the Society database carry both a founding year and a verified location, and only those are drawn. Read the early years as a floor rather than a count: a church founded in the 1880s and since closed leaves no mark here, so the map shows the church that lasted, not everything that was planted. Church data from the Society database as of 2026-08-30.
