The Church on Congress Avenue is a Baptist congregation on South Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. Its own account traces it to a South Austin Baptist church building erected in 1894 on Brackenridge Street; the congregation later gathered as Congress Avenue Baptist Church, baptising at Barton Springs in the 1920s, and built an auditorium in 1938 and its present auditorium in 1966. It describes itself as "a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome," and gathers for Sunday worship at 10:30.
