St Stephens Baptist Church, which publishes its full name as St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church and calls itself The North Star, is a historically Black congregation on Amherst Drive in north Austin, Texas, and a member of the St. John Regular Baptist Association. Its own account dates its organization to 1887 under five founding ministers, and states that the church is registered as a National Historical Site. Its ministries include welcoming, usher, women's, youth, men's, media and culinary ministries, and it maintains a community resources page alongside its worship and Bible study schedule.
