The Austin chapter of a national faith-driven movement that mobilizes church host families to care temporarily for children of parents in crisis, preventing unnecessary entry into the foster care system. The chapter connects parents in crisis with volunteer host families and wrap-around support from local churches and nonprofits. The national movement began in 2003, reports a 98 percent family reunification rate, and operates in more than ninety chapters across 150 United States cities.
