Providence Baptist Church
Church · Baptist
Providence Baptist Church is an independent Baptist congregation meeting in a suite on West University Avenue in Georgetown, north of Austin. Established in November 2015, it marked its tenth anniversary in 2025. It describes itself as an Independent Baptist Church that believes the Bible and states its purpose as to glorify God, lift up Christ and walk in the Spirit. Its published Articles of Faith affirm the verbal inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture, with the King James Version used exclusively in its ministries, one God in three persons, Jesus Christ as fully God and fully man, miraculously conceived and sinless, and his substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension and future return. It holds a literal six-day creation, the eternal security of believers, baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper as the two ordinances, and a pre-tribulational rapture followed by a millennial kingdom.
