Peace of Christ Church
Church · Baptist
Peace of Christ Church is a progressive, contemplative Baptist congregation in Round Rock, gathering for worship at The Texas Hall on Sam Bass Road on the second and fourth Sundays of the month and meeting in smaller groups in homes across Williamson County and the Austin metro in between. It began in the spring of 2012 as Grace Baptist Church and later took its present name. In its own words it is "an autonomous, member-funded Christian community embodying the life of Jesus in belief and action," formed by meditation, contemplation and centering prayer, and it describes itself as "a safe home for those recovering from hurtful, spiritually abusive church experiences." The congregation ordains women, names Trinity, Incarnation, Imago Dei, Liberation, Oneness and Systemic Justice among the things it holds, and in its own words is "open and affirming" of LGBTQIA+ people. It partners for ministry with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Alliance of Baptists.
