Onion Creek Baptist Church
Church · Baptist
Onion Creek Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist congregation on East Riverside Drive in southeast Austin, founded in 1857 and among the oldest congregations in this directory. It gathers for worship on Sunday mornings and states its mission as seeing all people encounter Jesus, find community, follow him and fulfil their purpose. Its published statement of faith covers Scripture, God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the person and work of Jesus Christ, humanity and sin, salvation by grace through faith, the church, baptism and the Lord's Supper, Christian living, and the return of Christ. Its welcome to visitors is written at length and in a deliberately informal register.
