New Zion Baptist Church is a historically African American Baptist congregation on South Mitchell Street in San Marcos, Texas, founded in 1866 as Colored Baptist Church Zion in the years just after emancipation. Its statement of belief affirms the Trinity, the full atonement accomplished in Christ's death and resurrection, and Scripture as truth without any mixture of error.
