New Sweden Evangelical Lutheran Church is a historic congregation east of Manor, organized in 1876 by Swedish immigrant settlers and today a member of Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC). Its sanctuary, completed in 1923, carries a 104-foot copper steeple, and the congregation still holds Swedish-themed services each December.
