Holy Cross Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in south Austin, begun in 1963 and the first Meals on Wheels distribution site in Austin. A Reconciling in Christ congregation since 2009, it says in its own words that it 'embrace[s] and welcome[s] all' as it celebrates differences including 'gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, appearance, economic status, ethnic origin, nationality, race, marital status, political leaning, religious background, and ability.'
