Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in Bastrop, established in 1964. It describes itself as grounded in Lutheran Christian liturgy, with music, confession and forgiveness, prayer, sacrament and service, and its worship as kid-friendly and faithful to its theological roots as interpreted in the Augsburg Confession of 1530. The congregation operates a preschool and an elementary and middle school on its campus, and Sunday worship is at 10 with Sunday school for children offered during the service.
