It is a seated member church of the Manor sub-district of the St. John Regular Baptist Association, which traces its own founding to 1867 and is affiliated with the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas and the National Baptist Convention of America. It is a separate congregation from Gildon Creek Third Baptist Church, which meets on Burton Street East in the same town.
