First Baptist Church of Austin
Church · Baptist
The First Baptist Church of Austin, founded in 1880, is a downtown congregation at 901 Trinity Street that is, in its own words, "locally autonomous and voluntarily affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship." Its vision statement describes it as choosing "to be a people's cathedral in the heart of the city: inviting all persons, nurturing one another, and serving in adventurous obedience to Jesus Christ."
