Church · Baptist

Capitol City Baptist Church is an independent fundamental Baptist church on Redd Street in south Austin. Its doctrinal statement holds the King James Bible as the church's final and absolute authority in all matters of faith and practice, affirms the Trinity, a six-day creation, the virgin birth, the substitutionary death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, eternal security, and the local church as a self-governing body free of outside hierarchy, and holds that the sign gifts of tongues and healing were temporary. The church also carries a Spanish-language congregation, Iglesia Bautista Vida Abundante, and Capitol City Baptist College, and gathers Sunday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
