Calvary Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist congregation on the northbound I-35 frontage road in San Marcos, in what it describes as the heart of the I-35 corridor of the Texas Hill Country. It traces its beginning to a mission started by members of First Baptist Church San Marcos and was incorporated in January 1955, and it held its first service in its present building at Easter 2008. Sunday school, morning worship, Sunday evening discipleship classes and a Wednesday evening Bible study make up the weekly schedule, alongside children's, student, young adult, men's and women's ministries and a Celebrate Recovery group.
